Hamlet Student Servers
(June, 2009)
Hamlet hires high school students from surrounding schools to work as servers in thie Atrium Dining Room. The jobs are great for students. They work from 4pm to 7pm during the week and they cover breakfast, lunch and dinner on weekends.
Dining Room Manager, Barbara Grzincic has a lot of students working for her because she has to accommodate their busy schedules of high school. She has the challenge of scheduling students around sports schedules and other extra curricular activities.
Samantha Patrick (right - on left) is a sophomore at Chagrin Falls High School. Meredith MacIver (right - on right) is a junior at Chagrin Falls, and Joe Sirna (right - center) is a junior at Kenston High School in Bainbridge and is on the basketball team.
Meredith says, "I love working here. I have worked here over a year now and like to hear all the good stories the residents have to tell. It has been a good working experience for me because I can work and still have time to do the things I like to do. I am looking to go to college in Chicago, either DePaul or Loyola."
Joe says, "This is a good job. I work with nice people in a nice environment and it's a job I can do around my schedule. These kinds of jobs are hard to come by."

Madison Myers (left) is a senior at Chagrin Falls High School and will be off to Miami University in the fall to study business. Madison has been a server in the Atrium dining room for two years. "I plan to come back to Hamlet to work in the summers and school breaks. I'm not involved in a lot of school activities, so Hamlet has been a big part of my life. Mrs. McAvoy is my favorite resident. I just love her!" Hamlet wishes Madison all the best in college. She will really be missed by all of us!
